So What's Up??

I just figured I'd stop by and say hi to everyone before the big holiday weekend really kicks off for me. I've been keeping myself busy and doing what I can to start getting ready for the new baby. Like I've said before, this baby is bringing a whole whack of other changes to our lives and it's actually been sort of scary. We've managed to get Arora used to sleeping downstairs and away from her brother. At this point Brenda and Chessenda (mother- and sister-in-law) are still down there as well, so it's not like she's all alone but at least she's used to the concept. Now I've just got to figure out how to get my 16-month old to sleep in a toddler bed without getting up and going exploring any time he feels like it; I'm trying to remember how I did it with Arora but of course she was 2-years old at the time and so far the method just isn't coming back to me. In any case I'm sure the entire thing is going to be an adventure and I'll be sure to keep you posted on that.

We've decided on the mini-van we're going get: a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan, we just need to decide on the color ;) Personally I'm partial to Black, Obie does like that too but for some reason, and I can only believe it's just to be difficult, he keeps saying that he really wants the Orange one. Now if I've told him once, I've honestly told a thousand times that there is nothing in this world that would convince me to drive, let alone BUY an orange mini-van. If I wanted to look like I was driving around in a giant fruit I'd... well I'd probably take a very close look at what exactly is in the medication I'm taking. Arora is insisting that we 'absolutely must get the Silver one' and we don't typically give Zack an opinion on many of our decisions yet, but in all honesty I don't mind the silver either. In the end I'm sure it will come down to either the silver or the black. It's just the way it is sometimes.

The big excitement for me (this week anyway) is that big sister and brother are coming down for the weekend. YAY!! I'm really excited actually because I didn't really get a chance to hang out with, or spend any time with them when they were here for Christmas. My fault, and Obie's since I'm in a sharing mood, but that's the way the dice fell. So yeah, but it did occur to me that the three months since I've seen them is probably the absolute longest period of time I've ever gone without seeing one of my sisters since I was born. Even when I lived on the coast, the longest stretch was two months. Thank God for the internet and phones and technology, huh??

Anyways, I'm going to try to take some pics and post them after the weekend (will cross my fingers on that) but other than that I'm out of things to say tonight. Have a great, safe and fun weekend everyone and I'll see you again sometime next week!!

long time no read lol. sounds like you've been busy. hope you're feeling well. I totally hear ya on the changing to a van thing. I'm not sure I could drive around in a giant fruit either lol. The 08 caravans sure are nice. we looked at getting one too but we're gonna wait a bit, seeing as how we don't NEED one :) .. and just my input, I'd go with silver, easier to keep looking clean :) ttyl!
